Hi, Happy Memorial Day to all, and a special thank you to all the men and women including those that have fallen! It has been a very cool weekend, but yesterday turned into a beautiful afternoon. My sister and her friend were here visiting along with my fur baby niece and nephew. We took a walk in one of the state parks yesterday afternoon only to return home with numerous wood ticks. This year is proving to be exceptionally bad for ticks. Yuck, yuck. I totally freak out when I find one on me.
The above picture is of my sister's fur babies. Stormy on the left and Rocky on the right. Now aren't they just the cutest little pups you ever seen! Spoiled is an understatement. :)
The picture below on the left is my oldest sister and her friend Karen is on the right. It's always a fun time when they come to visit. I managed to sneak in a little mini photo session of them while walking in the park.
To round out the evening my husband gave them a cooking lesson on how to make Banana's Jubilee. It is made with brown sugar, butter, brandy, banana's, and poured over vanilla ice cream. The perfect dessert to end the evening after hubby grilled steak for us. What a guy! Nothing like having your own personal chef. :)
And, once again thank you to all the military men, women, and family who sacrifice so much for our freedom.
