~ Update ~

I thought I should take a second and update everyone on how I have been doing physically. I am much better but still trying to fight off the side effects of the radiation. I have completed all of my radiation treatments now. The side effects are skin burns, bladder, and colon issues. My bladder and colon are finally getting better. I was in to see my primary doctor and she ran a urinalysis which confirmed that I did infact have a bladder infection which was causing my bladder to spasm. She also put me on a strict bowel med program and it is beginning to work. Now I just need to get rid of the burns from the radiation. I guess it is normal to have skin burns because even though the radiation beams go in they still need a place to exit. I guess just like lightening. LOL:) Here I thought I would handle the radiation without any side effects and then into the last week they really kicked my ass:) I am so glad to be done with them and now I can begin my every three month check ups and hopefully they will all come back NED (no evidence of disease).
