Hi everyone, another rainy day today here in Northern Wisconsin. Yesterday the weather alerts were popping up all over the place. First, I got stuck at work for awhile because they called a code orange which means nasty weather is in the area and we needed to get all of the patients in safe areas. That started out at 2 p.m. just when I was trying to finish my charting. We got everyone in the appropriate area's of the unit and they called an all clear. Okay back to charting for about fifteen minutes when we went into code orange again. It is now after 3 p.m. and I really want to go home. Especially since I know the drive would be longer than usual with all the bad weather. This time it lasted alot longer than the first one. Tornado's were all over the map in Minnesota and Wisconsin. North Branch, Minnesota, the school's roof was taken off by a tornado, then in Ellsworth, Hudson, and Prescott, Wisconsin, tornado's touch down. I was finally able to leave work about 3:45 p.m. but we were still in a code orange, but they decided to let the day staff leave. I opted to leave:) The highways were like parking lots at first, but then finally opened up. Once I got to Lindstrom, Minnesota, just as I drove through town, the tornado sirens sounded. The winds started to pick up and there was branches and leaves scattered around. The farther east I traveled the wind died down. I so glad to get home finally. I really hate the commute, but it is worth it at the end of the day. I travel 70 miles one way. If only the nursing jobs paid better up here in the boonies. Oh well, it continues to rain on and off today hopefully tomorrow will be sunny.
I have decided to go back to school and further my nursing degree. I tried to get into some classes this week but everything is full already. Everyone snatches the evening classes quickly. So it looks like I will have to start in January, that is okay it will give me sometime to prepare a little better.
My husband and I received are new cell phones. I hate mine. It is really hard to text with it so my dear sweet husband got on the phone today and ordered me a new one. He ordered me one like his. I fell in love with his phone when I started playing with it. I got his all set-up last night. I can't wait until mine arrives. T-Mobile said they are going to try and get it to me by tomorrow. I don't think it will happen but you never know. If not I can wait. That's it people. Hope you have a nice evening. Chow for now.
