Good evening everyone, today while shopping and wandering around Menard's I found these adorable tree hanger's on clearance and just could not pass them up. They actually reminded me of a friend. lol. The story is he recently fell out of his tree stand while bow hunting and fractured four vertebrae in his lower back. He is doing okay now. He is up walking around and back to work, but I could not resist purchasing him one. I also found a card that said just thinking about you, and of course I am going to write a little more on the card and send it out to him. I know some of you will think it is mean, but he can laugh about the whole incident now. That is why it is so important to wear a safety harness. Forget about the straps that just go around your waist. You need to have the type of harness that wraps around your legs and then up and around your upper body. My husband would never go into his tree stand which is twenty feet in the air without it. Our friend is actually very lucky to have survived the fall according to the doctors. He is so lucky that he is not paralyzed from it. Another important thing to do is always make sure someone knows where you are. Fortunately our friend was able to get up and hobble out of the woods on his own, but shortly after the pain really set in. We love you Mark...............Anyways, moving on. I also put up some of my solar christmas lights outside only to find out they are not functioning and after reading the instructions there is a battery that needs to be replaced in them. The problem is I have to order them from the company that makes them. It is a very strange type of battery, but I am going to see if I can find one that is compatible at Batterie's Plus otherwise the batteries are $9.99 plus $3.99 for shipping and handling. Had I known you had to purchase batteries from the company only I would not have purchased these lights. Now this year Menard's isn't even carrying them. They have other one's. So if I can't get the batteries without ordering them I think I will be better off purchasing the other one's that come with a battery that is standard for solar lighting.
Our other delimema for the week was our riding lawn mower would not start. So Kevin changed the oil, and purchased a new battery because the old battery would not hold a charge. It seems like every two years we need to purchase a new one. The good news is though it started up and Kevin drove it around cleaning up the leaves before we get ready to put the snow blower on it for the winter.
I spent the early morning at the St. John's Hospital in the Twin Cities getting an ultrasound done on my Gallbladder. I seen my primary doctor yesterday to follow up on my low white cell count, and my red blood cells were out of whack also. So she drew blood, and it will take about a week to get the perpherial blood smear results back. She then proceeded to say that if my white blood cell count isn't up she may refer me to a Hematologist to have a bone marrow biopsy done. Ouch. Just typing that hurts. I don't know if I will go through with that one. I need some time to think about it first. Well, now on a positive note I am registered to attend Century College beginning in January for the Spring Semester to advance my nursing degree. I am very excited and can't wait to get started. I am going to sign off for the evening. Take care and have a lovely evening.
