Hi all, I am finally done with this semester and very happy to say I no longer have to step foot in another classroom at Century College. I think they get their instructors from a Cracker Jack box lottery. I have never had such and awful instructor. Unprepared, never updated anything regarding grades and where you were at. Half the time he came to class so anxious and in some other place. His shirt would be half hanging out and then to top it off he thought he was a comedian. Just because someone gets there Phd in Mathematics doesn't mean they should teach. You never got your homework back before a test. How stupid is that. It's not like he even bothered to look at it. He just put a check mark on the top of the paper and gave it back to you. Then, the tutor assistant they had in class was only concerned about flirting with the girl that sat behind me. Then towards the end of the semester we no longer got a tutor in the class because Century College ran out of money to pay him. What a joke. A friend of mine was taking Medical Dosing Calculations and her instructor was so lazy when it came to exams that he ran copies off of the exam and would cross out the problems he didn't want students to do and circle the one's he wanted them to do. Come on people. If your only there for a paycheck I think it is time you move on. I figured out more on my own than I did from the instructor and 99% of the other students felt the same way. I have found out that the instructor I had, has no classes for the summer or the fall semester coming up. Geez, I wonder why. It probably explains why he was constantly in meetings with the Dean and then he would come to class and talk about his meetings. How unprofessional. I was not there to here about the drama related to your job. I basicly learned nothing. Thanks for wasting my time:( We started out with 35 people in the class and at the end there was about 15 left. Now your probably wondering if I passed. Well, I didn't end up with enough points. I a little over 100 points more to get the 700 I needed to end with a C. I can not believe that I failed. I have never in my life failed a class or further more failed an exam. I went through Nursing School having all A's and B's. Yeah, sure I could have study a little more, but in the end I blame the instructor for being so poor. The overall class percentage on test's were 55% or barely passing. Okay, I am done for now. I am ready to move on from my experience at Century and I am looking forward to better things. Thanks for listening to me vent. Have a nice afternoo. Hubby and I are going to hit the water and wet our lines. It is a beautiful sunny day so far. Take care, until we chat again.
