Good evening everyone, another day behind us. My week has been stressful with work, registering for fall classes, and bad news. My brothers best friend passed away on August 1st. He suffered a heart attack on July 4th and had been in ICU every since. His heart just couldn't take anymore and he is now an angel amongst us. Then on Tuesday I get a phone call that a dear friend of ours had fallen from a ladder while carrying a bundle of shingles up to the roof. He suffered eight fractured ribs, three fractured vertebrae, a skull fracture with bleeding on the brain, and a broken scapula, and clavicle bone. He is in ICU and finally today has made some progress. They have removed the intracranial pressure monitoring, reduced his sedation for a short time and he opened his eyes, pulled out the vent and yelled for them to let him go. So they had to sedate him again to rest some more and are going to try and reduce sedation again tomorrow. Little steps forward are better than nothing. So please pray for my long time pal.
