~ Howdy All ~

Hi it has definitely been a very long time since my last post. I have been busy wrapping up the semester for school. I am so happy to say that this semester is over with. Microbiology is not my favorite subject by any means. I am taking the summer off from school and will start back up in September. I really need a break from classes. I have been taking classes every semester for the past two years including summer semester and figured it was time for a little break to rejuvinate and focus on other things happening around me.

Work has definitely been a challenge lately. A few people have decided to pursue the idea of becoming unionized! Why I ask myself would you want to pay some organization to get you the benefits we currently already receive. The bottom line is the company isn't going to give you anymore than they can wether we are union or not. We rank in the top 95% for benefits and wages so I don't understand what these people are expecting. It's fine if they want to pursue a union, but then don't make me contribute to something I don't want or believe in. The simple fact of the matter is, is that unions are known for taking union dues to support their own political beliefs and I don't like the fact that my money would or could be going to support something I don't believe in. The union they are pursueing has already showed me what type of people they are by twisting and lieing about they truth. Harrassing people because they aren't afraid to speak out against them. It is just a shame that they are allowed to get away with these types of things. I don't know if the company is afraid of a law suit, but I would like to know where are my rights as an employee are. I have the right to come to work and feel safe, to park my car in the lot without fear of it being vandalized, it is truly sad that if a employee's votes in a union that employees are forced to pay dues or be fired. How can someone force me to purchase something I don't want or believe in? I support the right to work law 100%. Enough said about that subject. Onto to my passion in life, photography!

I have taken some photo's of our floral garden which was beat up pretty bad by last night's storms, but with a little warmth and sunlight they will recover and I have also included a pic of a loon I found nesting while out fishing. Enjoy.
