I can't believe it has been so long since my last posting. Well, you ask what's going on? I have finished this semester for school, and the holidays are quickly approaching. I am happy to say I received "A's" in both my classes this semester, so I guess you could say I have been busy studying to say the least.
We entered the Winter season with a bang! We had approximately 14 inches of snow dumped on us in one day. I think I shoveled the deck for a total of five times. Thank goodness it was the light and fluffy kind. I have finished my Christmas shopping, have everything wrapped and under the tree.
I have included some pics I took while the snow was falling, for some reason I really like the Birch tree pics! Anyway, I was able to speak to my Aunt from Ireland a few days ago, and she is going to be sending me some pics of my great grandma, and grandpa. So excited, can't wait to receive them. My sister and her friend will be traveling up to visit us on December 26th. so I am excited about that. Just hope the snow hangs around. This Winter has been so weird. First it is bitter cold and snowing, then we have warm temps, and rain which really compacted our snow fall.
I managed to register for my next school semester. I really am just waiting on my clinicals, but 2013 is full. They have three spots left open for 2014, but I have to be one of three to fill out a form on line on December 28, 2012 to secure my spot. Wish me luck! The Spring semester I am just taking a Phlebotomy class which will be beneficial to IV insertion. Who knows maybe I can pick up some extra hours somewhere close to home doing Phlebotomy. I will be starting at Trollhaugen Ski Area in the kitchen again this coming Friday. Looking forward to that. Love having the extra cash in my pocket, plus it is fun to being doing something different than my full time nursing job. That's it for now folks, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
