Hi, it has been a few days since my last post so I thought I would drop everyone a line or two. We were suppose to go to New Ulm, Minnesota this weekend but changed our plans at the last minute and opted to visit our friends in Wabeno, Wisconsin. We had a fabulous time. Did some fishing and dodging rain drops, but the fish were biting like crazy. We also went to the Northern Lights Casino. Our friend hit a good jackpot, and won 625.00 dollars. Not to shabby. Kevin and I both came out ahead also. Kevin only spent 10.00 dollars and won 70.00. I spent 60.00 but won 76.00 dollars that is after deducting what I spent. We rode the ATV's, that was alot of fun. Barbequed a few days, and my friend Donna is a fabulous cook. She made breakfast every morning. I wish I enjoyed cooking as much as she does. Our friends are also remodeling their home away from home. They have almost finished all the upstairs bedrooms. They are spraying what is called knock down on the walls and then you primer and paint. It was interesting to see how that was done. I am tempted to do it our house. They have three bedrooms upstairs that are almost complete. They have knocked down all the walls and insulated, put new dry wall up, new flooring, new wood work, new doors and the knock down texture on the walls. It is looking really nice. They have put alot of sweat and tears into it. They only have the hallway and bathroom to complete on the upstairs.
I am now ready for bed. It was a four hour drive and I am exhausted. We had a big turkey dinner before leaving. I nodded on and off all the way home, and of course I have once again managed to forget something there. My slippers, oh well thank goodness I have a few more pairs.
