~ Good Bye ~

Good Evening everyone, today is a day of sadness for my husband. He had to say good bye to old faithful. When he bought this truck several years ago it was his pride and joy. Then two guys decided they wanted it one afternoon while we were still living in the cities, and stuck a gun in my husband's face for it. Life is more important than any truck. The damage on the side of it was from the guys who snatched it. They hit our garage while taking off, and took the corner too sharp. I thought the whole truck was going to turn over on it side. It actually tipped on to the two drivers side wheels. The truck was recovered in about two weeks. It came with us when we moved and my husband never really drove it much after that. It now has a new home. It is going to be made into a truck for mud racing. We plan on watching them on Labor Day weekend over in Hertel, Wisconsin. I sure would like to get some photo's. In a way it was a blessing in disguise, after it happened that following Monday morning our house in the cities was up for sale. My husband had enough of the city life, and we found a cute little place in the Northern Woods. I love it and would not trade it for the world. The only bad thing is the commute to and from work, but at the end of the day it is all worth it. It is so peaceful here. Even the sky at night seems different. So much brighter. I swear some nights it looks like you could just reach up into the sky and grab a star. Anyway back to the truck. The guys had a heck of a time getting it to fit on the trailer properly but with a little determination it all worked out, it now has a new home. Neighbors of ours even stopped by and asked where she was going. It gave me a little tickle inside, and made my hubby smile.
Have a wonderful, safe, warm evening.
