~ Ready For The Weekend ~

Hi, I am so ready for the weekend. I bought some top sirlon steaks today for the grill this weekend. A nice baked potato smuthered in butter sounds to go along with it and of course a side salad. Okay, I had better quit talking about food. It is making me hungry.

We are planning on hitting the lake this weekend both days if the weather cooperates. Today must have been a day for fires. On the way home from work today there was a car engulfed in flames on Hwy. 8 in Minnesota, then I decided to stop at the little market in town, and as I drove through Milltown I could see thick heavy smoke in the air. It turns out someone's garage, along with a bunch of trees, went up in flames this afternoon. I thought it was so of strange to see two fires in one day.

I will be working a flu clinic this fall for some extra cash, and thought I had successfully faxed all the necessary paperwork but the stupid fax machine sucked a few pages together at the same time. I was hoping to be able to begin the two hour training today, but I can't until all the paper work is in, so I will have to take care of that again tomorrow.

One of my best friends daughter had her baby yesterday. An adorable bouncing baby boy, he weighed in at 7.9 lbs., was 21 inches long, and oh so cute. I can't wait to take some snap shots of him.

I have another photo shoot scheduled for next week Monday, so I am looking forward to that.

I have learned today that another person I know has breast cancer, and just had a lumpectomy. It really makes me wonder if there wasn't something in the air, or some chemical we were coming in contact with where I used to work. It is just so strange that 10 of us were diagnosed with cancer in about a five year period. It was a small nursing facility, just a little over 100 beds, so really not that many employee's. That is why I find it so weird that so many of us in the past five or six years have been diagnosed with cancer. It really is a scary thought. Oh well, enough dwelling on that subject. I hope the lumpectomy is all she needs, and not radiation or chemo. Having been through internal and external radiation, I would not even wish it upon the devil himself.
